ECHO Ontario Superhub

Until recently, training to implement the ECHO model was provided exclusively by the University of New Mexico. With the movement spreading quickly, Superhub sites have been developed to train and support new ECHO projects. The ECHO Ontario Superhub, a collaboration between CAMH and UHN, serves new ECHO projects in Ontario and in Canada.

Along with training, the ECHO Ontario Superhub:

Leads provincial ECHO initiatives:
- monthly ECHO Ontario collaborative meetings
- an annual ECHO Ontario conference
- strategic planning support for the growth of the ECHO Model in Ontario
Provides all existing, new and potential ECHO programs in Ontario with ongoing mentorship
Leads the development and implementation of quality improvement frameworks for ECHO programs in Ontario
Acts as an agent of the ECHO Institute to expand the ECHO Model in Ontario

Dr. Allison Crawford

Co-Chair, ECHO Ontario Superhub

Allison Crawford is co-Chair of ECHO Ontario Mental Health. She is a psychiatrist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto, where she is the Director of the Northern Psychiatric Outreach Program and Telepsychiatry at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She has worked as a psychiatrist in Nunavut for 10 years. Her research focus is on outreach and transcultural psychiatry, including: issues related to access and equity; cultural safety; collaborative and community-based care; and technology. Current projects include: consulting to Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, with the Mental Health Commission of Canada, to create a Canadian National Inuit Suicide Prevention Strategy; and developing online educational resources on Inuit cultural safety and trauma-informed care (www.inuitstorybones.ca). She is on the Scientific Advisory Group to the Arctic Council, and consults to the Inuit Circumpolar Council.

Dr. Andrea D. Furlan

Co-Chair, ECHO Ontario Superhub

Andrea D. Furlan MD PhD is Professor in the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto. She is Senior Scientist at KITE Institute of UHN, and physician lead of the Rehabilitation Pain Service at UHN's Toronto Rehabilitation Institute.
She is chair of ECHO Ontario Chronic Pain and Opioid Stewardship at UHN, and principal investigator of a CIHR-funded project to expand and study the implementation of other ECHO pain hubs in Canada. She is co-chair of the ECHO Ontario Superhub and has been involved with ECHO activities in Ontario since 2014.

Carie Gall

Director, ECHO Ontario Superhub

Carie Gall is the Director of Northern Outreach, Virtual Care and ECHO at CAMH. With over a decade of experience in health system strategy, planning, and equity-focused design, Carie brings a deep commitment to improving the healthcare system for both patients and providers. Prior to joining CAMH, Carie held senior leadership roles at Ontario Health and the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network, where she spearheaded initiatives in physician engagement, system integration and innovative community-driven solutions to strengthen the healthcare system and empower providers. Carie is known for her collaborative approach, creative problem-solving, and passion for health equity. She is an Occupational Therapist who holds a Masters in Health Administration.

Rhonda Mostyn

Member, ECHO Ontario Superhub

Rhonda Mostyn is the Project Manager for ECHO at University Health Network, responsible for operations of five ECHO programs. Prior to joining ECHO in 2014, she worked extensively in health care as clinician/care provider, followed by roles as clinic director and then director of clinical education and training. Rhonda is also a member of the ECHO Ontario Superhub, where she contributes to training for new ECHO programs in Ontario and is a member of the ECHO Ontario annual conference committee.

Victoria Bond

Member, ECHO Ontario Superhub

Victoria Bond is the Acting Manager of ECHO Ontario Mental Health at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Ontario and a member of the ECHO Ontario Superhub. Victoria holds a Master’s degree in Health Science, Technology, and Policy from Carleton University. Victoria has been implementing and evaluating provincial and national ECHO programs aimed to support evidence-based mental health and addictions care since 2019. She has a passion for health equity and developing efficiency within the healthcare system.

Olivia McAllister

Partner Liaison, ECHO Ontario Superhub

Olivia McAllister is a Senior Project Analyst for the ECHO Ontario Superhub at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She has been with CAMH for over six years, with experience spanning inpatient clinical settings and research, and has been a member of the ECHO team for more than three years. She has led the development and implementation of several programs, including ECHO Ontario Francophone sur les dépendances, ECHO Ontario Supportive Housing and Mental Health, and ECHO Canada Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and has served as project lead for numerous additional initiatives. Olivia is passionate about advancing mental health care by leveraging collaborative models and system resources to improve outcomes and quality of life for individuals and communities.
