The weekly TeleECHOTM
clinic sessions are the core of the Project ECHO® model and are 90-minutes in duration.
Each cohort’s Learning Cycle is 24 weeks
and each session will include the following:
- Didactic Presentation: an 18-minute presentation by one of our Hub Specialists on a Child and Youth Mental Health topic.
- Case-Based Learning: two participants will present de-identified cases from their own practice about a Child or Youth Mental Health concern. Our participants and Hub Specialists will discuss the cases, ask clarifying questions, and provide suggestions on how the presenters can move forward with their cases.

Our didactic presentations are developed based on the learning needs of our participants. Before each cohort begins, we survey participants about CYMH topics they want to learn about. The Hub Specialists then tailor the didactics based on their responses, personalizing each cohort to their learning needs. Additionally, we have Didactics on Demand
weeks where we choose topics based on the continuous feedback and suggestions the cohort provides.

After each clinic, we will provide a summary of case suggestions so the presenter can immediately share it with their patient, and to the other participants for future reference. As a participant, you will have access to expert support both during the TeleECHO™ clinic sessions and after-hours if you have a specific and/or emergency CYMH cases.
clinic sessions use Zoom Technology
as our videoconferencing program. It is user-friendly, requires minimal set-up, and has no administrator privileges to download. You can connect through PC, Mac, iOS, Tablet, Android or phone. For the best clinic experience, your device requires a microphone, camera and speakers. We provide IT help over the phone to make this work for you.
Throughout the cohort, you will be asked to complete a number of surveys to assist us with our Project ECHO® Ontario CYMH research. These include a Pre-Cohort, Curriculum, Post-Clinic (24), Poll Questions and Post-Cohort Surveys. We will be asking questions specifically related to our program, content of the session, as well as usefulness of tools, resources and/or case presentation suggestions provided by our Hub Specialists. The data collected is used as an identifier for continuous improvement of our program.
In order to receive your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits, you must complete each Post-Clinic Survey for each session you attend. We will provide you with time after each TeleECHOTM
clinic session to complete these surveys.
